Devra got another call from her Vax once they got out of warp. She answered it, “What’s up, Mr. Majester? We defeated the elemental.”

“It’s Dr. Amino. He’s back.”

“But how? Caz turned him into liquids.”

“I don’t know, but he’s back. Head back to Magic World immediately.”

“We’re on it.”

Devra warped them back to Magic World.

I’ve only got one essence tube left. I’ve got to make this count.

They landed on one of the streets of Magic City.

“Ah, Devra. We meet again and you’ve got a new partner?” Dr. Amino asked.

“Yes.”

“What happened to Caz?”

“I don’t–want to talk about it.”

“None the matter. I’ve come back someone new as well.”

Aster took out his liquefier gun and Devra absorbed Dr. Amino’s powers.

Aster zapped a flying car over and its liquids, motor oil and chemical versions of metal fell onto Dr. Amino. Devra whipped out her freeze ray.

Devra pointed her head at the sewer crate and a grey liquid poured out. It pulled itself up and reformed.

“Caz?” Devra asked in confusion.

“Close but no imprinter, Devra.” The being swirled in the air and transformed back into its original form, a dark-haired man in a suit.

“Mimicry! How did you escape galactic prison?”

“I had my ways.”

“You can’t liquify Mimicry. He’s already a liquid, so try this,” Devra whispered to Aster and handed him a freeze ray.

Mimicry transformed into a normal citizen and rushed into the crowd.

Devra used the tracker or her Vax to follow Mimicry.

“Balloons, five magic dollars!” a balloon vendor shouted.

“I recognize that voice anywhere. It’s him. Freeze the balloon-man.” Devra shouted at Aster.

“How do you know it’s him?”

Devra showed Aster her Vax.

The balloon man ran off and Devra and Aster followed him. The balloon man transformed back to himself and hid behind a nearby tree.

“Where is he?” Aster asked.

“He’s right on top of us” Devra looked up and saw a child at the top of the tree. “Freeze him!”

“What if it’s just a young wizard, who got stuck in a tree?”

“It’s not, it’s Mimicry!”

Aster shot up the tree and missed.

“We need a different approach.” Devra regrouped with Aster. How did we defeat Mimicry before?

Before she could finish her thought, Mimicry was gone.

“He’s below us? He must have seeped through the dirt and went into the sewers.”

Devra and Aster rushed to the nearest manhole cover and jumped in.

“Ew, do we have to do this?” Aster asked.

“Yes.” Devra turned on her Vax’s flashlight. “We have to defeat him.”

Devra detected that Mimicry was close and they followed his trail.

Devra pulled out her gas ray. “Let me try this. It can turn anything into a gas.”

They approached him and Devra zapped him once she spotted him. She immediately bubbled and captured him with her Vax.

They climbed up the ladder and out of the sewer.

Devra brought the ship over to where they froze Dr. Amino. She trapped Mimicry in a glass jar. And they brought the captives back to the earth base to be jailed.
