Miranda and Andrew drive through the beach town of Waycove until they arrive at the beach house they rented. They unpack their clothes and food as they will be staying for a few weeks.

A few hours later, they decide to change into their swimsuits and head to the beach. They set up their chairs and a blanket beside them. Andrew walks to the water and he spots a sexy woman in a bikini sitting in her chair near the shore. After he realizes the water is too cold, he rushes back.

He sits down on his chair and Miranda says, “I saw you staring at that young woman in the pink bikini.”

“I was not,” Andrew replies. “Andy, I saw you. You were staring at her for a solid ten minutes,” Miranda says.

“Alright I admit it, but it doesn’t hurt to look,” Andy says.

“It does when your wife is sitting across the beach and catches you doing it!” Miranda starts to yell.

“Yeah, well maybe if my wife would wear something more attractive to the beach than a blue one-piece then I’d have something to look at,” Andy says.

“You know I’m self-conscious about my body,” Miranda whispers loud enough for Andy to hear. Miranda runs off back to the beach house and Andy follows.

“Honey, wait!” He yells to her, but she can’t hear him. She is too far away.

At the beach house, Miranda runs inside and into the bedroom. She puts on some sweatpants and lies in bed. Andy follows her. “Honey, why don’t I treat you to a nice dinner tonight. You can go dress shopping and get all gussied up and enjoy yourself. And also spend time with me,” Andy says.

“Why would you want to spend time with an ugly woman like me?”

“You’re not ugly,” Andy says.

“You said it yourself when we were on the beach,” Miranda says.

“I never said you were ugly,” Andy says.

“It was implied when you said I should wear something more attractive to the beach,” Miranda states. “No, I meant your one-piece swimsuit is ugly. The floral pattern is too busy,” Andy lies.

“Oh,” Miranda realizes.

“Now, let’s go pick up our stuff at the beach, so you can pick the most beautiful dress at this boutique I saw downtown when we drove in,” Andy says.

“Okay,” Miranda says, wiping away her last tear.

Later that night, Miranda and Andy order their food at the restaurant.

“You know my mother bought that swimsuit for me and the floral pattern isn’t too busy, the flowers are separate and blend into a green background. So, you were calling me ugly” Miranda puts together.

“Honey — You’re the most beautiful woman I know,” Andy says.

“I’m taking the car back to the beach house, you can find your own way back home,” Miranda says as she storms out of the restaurant.

Andy puts up his pointer finger, “Uh, check please.”

After Andy ate his food, (He wasn’t going to waste his food) he called a taxi, and was driven back home. He sees Miranda watching TV as he walks into the house.

“I want a divorce,” Miranda says as she turns off the TV with the remote.

“Honey, can’t we talk about this?” Andy asks.

“No, you’re obviously not attracted to me anymore, so why would you want to be with me?” Miranda questions.

“I still love you; doesn’t that count for something?” Andy asks.

“No, I don’t think I can be with you anymore. How are supposed to have sex when you can’t even see me naked?” Miranda asks. “I don’t know, maybe if you — ” Andy says as Miranda interrupts him.

“Maybe if I — what? Lose a few pounds, then would you be attracted to me?” Miranda yells.

“Alright, that’s it, I can’t do this anymore,” Andy yells back.

“Do what?” Miranda asks. “I can’t be with someone who yells at me every day and always runs off when they’re mad,” Andy explains.

“What do you want me to do? Keep yelling at you?” Miranda questions.

“No, we should talk things out,” Andy says.

“And where has that got us?” Miranda asks.

“Nowhere,” Andy states. “Andy, I still love you and I’m still attracted to you, but if you’re not attracted to me, we can’t make half a relationship work.”

“I’m sorry, but I guess this marriage isn’t going to work anymore if that’s the case,” Andy apologizes.

They pack up their suitcases and drive home together.

They live together until Andy can find an apartment.
